Student Creed
I intend to develop myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that would reduce my mental growth of physcial health.
I intend to develop self-discipline in order to bring out the best in myself and others.
I intend to use what I learn in class constructively and defensively; to help myself and others and never to be abusive or offensive.
7 Home Rules for Children
- Children shall greet their parents with “Hi, Mom! Hi, Dad!” when they enter the home and tell their parents “Good-bye!” when they leave.
- Children will always be respectful of their parents, teachers and elders.
- Children will be kind to their brothers and sisters.
- Children will keep the household neat and clean.
- Children will keep their hair, body and teeth clean daily.
- Children shall not interrupt adult conversations.
- Children shall follow the Recipe for Straight “A’s” daily!
CHILDREN WHO DO NOT OBEY THEIR PARENTS CHEERFULLY MAY BE REDUCED IN RANK!
Philosophy
White belt
- Understand 5 Tenets of Tae Kwon Do
- Sound off – Answering with “yes, sir(ma’am)” or “No, sir(ma’am)” to show proper respect and to demonstrate proper spirit in your training.
Yellow Belt
- Know 5 Tenets of Tae Kwon Do and practice them in your daily life
- Why do we bow – Respect, Humility, Trust
- 100% Effort – Every kick, Every practice, Every day! Doing your best in everything you do.
Orange Belt
- How do we Lead? By example.
- Ki-hap: Teaches us to concentrate and focus power. We kihap in Tae Kwon Do to execute techniques with maximum power and spirit. The Kihap strengthens our coure muscles at the right moment.
Green Belt
- Understand Student Creed
- Tae Kwon Do = The way of the foot and hand. Training one’s mind and body through martial arts.
Purple Belt
- Know Student Creed and practive them in your daily life.
- Back Belt Excellence – “CCANI”: Commitment to constant and never ending improvement.
Blue Belt
- Jung Shin Tong Il = Mind Unification: Concentration, Mental focus. Focusing on your goals and concentration.
Brown Belt
- Baek Jul Bul Ku = Fall Down 100 times, get up 100 times. With indomitable spirit, we can accopmlish anything. The will to do whatever it takes to accomplish your goals, to act in spite of fear, is the basis of courage and key to success.
Sr. Brown Belt
- Ha Myun Dan Da = If you do it, it will happen! There is a will, there is a way. Power of positive thinking: We become what we think about all day long. It is important to continually focus on your goals and who you want to be!
Red Belt
- When You Nae Ghang = Being gentle in appearance, but strong in spirit. Be strong, Be humble, Be gentle.
Sr. Red Belt
- Redding Tae Kwon Do’s Vision: Strong Mind, Strong Body, Strong Spirit.
